If our 10+ years in the world of business have taught us anything, it’s that our businesses can’t grow if we don’t upskill and learn.

What we see happen to a lot of entrepreneurs who try to build businesses, but don’t succeed, is that get stuck in ‘doing’ and don’t often enough take time out of their business to learn new things, expand their knowledge and course correct where they need to.

They focus on output, and not enough on input.

They have big dreams, but the foundation they are building their business on is fragile and unstable.

They are more concerned with reaching the next milestone than learning the most effective and sustainable way to get there.

We know that we wouldn’t be where we are in our business today if it weren’t for the time, energy and money we have invested into education.

Education allows us to:

• Learn from the mistakes other entrepreneurs have made (and avoid them like the plague!)
• Get the foundation of our business - from which everything else grows - strong and stable
• Be creatively inspired
• Identify the areas of our business that aren’t working
• See possibilities and opportunities for change and growth.

We know it can be challenging, in the busy-ness of everyday life, to make time to learn, but it really is so important. Here’s what we suggest to make it feel achievable!

• Learn something you’re interested in! Do you love understanding the psychology of marketing? Explore that! Are business plans up your alley? Great, learn more about that!
• Create space to learn. Even if it’s just 30 minutes every week - put time aside in your calendar for education and honour it
• Identify where you have gaps in your knowledge and fill them in! This is a really rewarding way to learn because, in just a short period of time, you’re able to see just how much your knowledge has expanded!
• Join a learning community (like a Mastermind) or get a Business Coach on board to help you stay accountable and committed.
